The music program at Lakeforest Elementary School is designed to be a comprehensive, standards-based course of study that will allow students to become musically literate and make connections to regular classroom curriculum. During music class students will explore a wide variety of music while performing and creating.
Our music room is filled with many wonderful instruments that all students will have the opportunity to play during their years at Lakeforest. Some of these include: xylophones, glockenspiels, recorders, boomwhackers, keyboards, World Music drums (tubanos and djembes), Appalachian dulcimers, and ukuleles.
SMART board technology is used in our music room each week. This technology really helps students make connections and relate to other cultures on a deeper level.
